Courtney is a highly skilled swim instructor and aquatic professional with a wealth of experience in the field. Originally hailing from Providence, Rhode Island, she relocated to San Antonio a few years ago to become an active duty vocalist for the Air Force Band of the West.
Before joining the Air Force, Courtney held the position of assistant aquatics director at the Hockomock Area YMCA in Foxboro, Massachusetts. During her time at the YMCA, Courtney excelled in coaching swim teams, instructing classes ranging from Mommy and Me to senior water aerobics, and leading lifeguard and swim instructor training programs.
Courtney's passion for teaching swimming shines through in her engaging and dynamic lessons, helping her students build confidence, improve their skills, and achieve their swimming goals.
Katie moved from Colorado to Texas for a position playing oboe in the United States Air Force Band. Her diverse background includes being a rock climbing and kayak instructor with Avid4Adventure, as well as working as a swim teacher since 2004. With a genuine passion for helping both kids and adults gain confidence in the water, Katie is dedicated to empowering her students to become strong swimmers.
Growing up in Orlando, Florida, Ryan developed a deep connection with the water while spending his summers at his family's beach house. His love for swimming and water activities led him to work as the chief lifeguard and swim instructor at a summer camp for people with disabilities throughout high school and college. Ryan honed his teaching skills while creating a safe and inclusive environment for campers of all ages and abilities to learn and enjoy swimming.
Brette is a registered labor and delivery nurse and former Division III swimmer from San Antonio. With her background in both healthcare and competitive swimming, Brette brings a unique perspective to her lessons, prioritizing safety and personalized instruction. Brette's expertise in caring for others extends to her swim lessons. She creates a supportive and nurturing environment for swimmers.
Olivia is a talented swim instructor who recently relocated to San Antonio from Boston, Massachusetts. With years of experience as a beach lifeguard and swim instructor during summers, and as a school bus driver during winters, Olivia has developed a deep understanding of water safety and childhood development. When she's not busy splashing around in pools, oceans, and rivers, you can find her sharing her talents at Music on Magnolia, a renowned music school in Alta Vista.
Richelle is seasoned swim instructor with a passion for teaching kids of all ages. Hailing from Seattle, Washington, Richelle is a devoted mom of two who brings her love for swimming and extensive experience to San Antonio Swim. With a competitive swimming background and multiple medals in breaststroke and relay, Richelle is well-equipped to provide top-notch instruction. She has also served as a swim instructor at a private pool in Seattle, where she specialized in teaching children with special needs.
